Why is ribeye considered the best steak?
Ribeye is cut from the rib section — one of the least-worked muscles on the animal — which means it's naturally tender with exceptional fat marbling. That intramuscular fat melts during cooking, basting the meat from within and producing the rich, buttery flavour ribeye is famous for. At 45 days of dry-ageing, the moisture loss concentrates that flavour still further and the natural enzymes tenderise the muscle to produce something genuinely extraordinary.
How do I cook it at home?
Remove from the fridge 1 hour before cooking. Season generously all over with sea salt and black pepper. Heat a cast iron pan until smoking, add a splash of oil and sear for 3–4 minutes each side until deeply caramelised. Add butter, crushed garlic and thyme, baste continuously for 2 minutes. Rest on a warm plate for 8–10 minutes before serving. For a thicker cut, finish in a 180°C oven for 5–8 minutes after searing.
How many does it serve?
Depends on the weight of the ribeye — typically one generous portion per person. Check the weight options in the dropdown. A larger ribeye (600g+) can comfortably serve two as a sharing steak.

Our team will get your order ready 24 hours before the date requested at checkout. Everything will be cut fresh, packaged with the utmost care by our team and then boxed with ice packs in our sustainable packaging, ready to be delivered Next Day.
Your order will be sent via DPD to the postal address given, on the day of delivery DPD will send you a one hour timeslot for when their driver will drop off to your location. The driver will leave safe if you are not in so the box can be left outside until you arrive back home.
Our cool boxes maintain the right ambient temperature for up to 48 hours so your box will always arrive fresh and chilled.
