Neal's Yard Dairy — Five Cheese Selection | The Ultimate Cheeseboard
Five exceptional British cheeses from Neal's Yard Dairy — the UK's most celebrated cheesemonger. This is the definitive cheeseboard selection: a world-class blue, a hard ewe's milk cheese inspired by Sardinian Pecorino, a hearty Scottish island cheddar, a seasonal goat's cheese and a magnificent hard cheese with real depth and complexity. Everything you need for an impressive, balanced board.
Colston Bassett Stilton 320g — The benchmark Stilton, made exclusively for Neal's Yard Dairy. Gentler and more balanced than a typical blue, with a creamy, buttery paste and delicate veining.
Spenwood 230g — A hard ewe's milk cheese from Berkshire, with a supple texture and nutty, well-developed flavour. An excellent Parmesan alternative.
Isle of Mull Cheddar 250g — A hearty Scottish cheddar with a firm, fondant-like texture. Juicy, zesty and deeply savoury with boozy depth.
Seasonal Goat's Cheese — Selected by Neal's Yard based on what's looking best — soft, lactic and full of character.
Lincolnshire Poacher 200g — Rich and complex, combining the best of West Country Cheddar and Comté, with a sweet, almost pineapple-like finish.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who are Neal's Yard Dairy?
Neal's Yard Dairy is widely considered the UK's finest cheesemonger — founded in 1979, they champion British and Irish farmhouse cheesemakers, visiting farms to hand-select the finest batches which they then mature in their own cellars until peak deliciousness. Every cheese is selected, matured and cut by hand.
What is Spenwood?
Spenwood is a hard-pressed ewe's milk cheese made in the Berkshire village of Riseley, inspired by the Sardinian Pecorino Sardo. It has a supple texture and well-developed nutty flavour. The longer it matures, the harder and more piquant it becomes — making it an excellent substitute for Parmesan or Pecorino in pasta and risotto.
How should I serve the five cheeses?
Remove all cheeses from the fridge 45–60 minutes before serving to bring to room temperature. Arrange on a board and work from mildest to strongest — start with the goat's cheese and Spenwood, move to the Isle of Mull and Lincolnshire Poacher, and finish with the Stilton. Serve with Verduijn's Fine Biscuits, good chutney and a glass of port alongside the Stilton.
How long will the cheeses keep?
Once delivered, keep refrigerated and consume within 3–5 days for optimum flavour. Wrap each cheese individually in wax paper rather than cling film. The Stilton and hard cheeses will keep slightly longer than the soft goat's cheese.
