What's the best way to roast butternut squash?
Halve lengthways, scoop out the seeds and score the flesh in a crosshatch pattern. Drizzle generously with olive oil, season with sea salt, pepper and a pinch of chilli flakes if you like heat. Roast cut-side up at 200°C for 40–50 minutes until deeply caramelised and tender all the way through. Finish with a drizzle of honey or maple syrup and fresh thyme for something exceptional.
Do I need to peel it?
For roasting, no — the skin becomes tender and edible when roasted at high heat. For soups and mashes, peel first with a good vegetable peeler. The skin is easier to remove after roasting if you prefer that approach.
How long will it keep?
Whole, uncut butternut squash keeps well for 2–4 weeks in a cool, dark place — a cupboard or garage. Once cut, wrap tightly and refrigerate, using within 4–5 days. Cooked squash freezes well for up to 3 months.

Your order will be sent via DPD to the postal address given, on the day of delivery DPD will send you a one hour timeslot for when their driver will drop off to your location. The driver will leave safe if you are not in so the box can be left outside until you arrive back home.
